Abstract: This Fellowship focuses on a national and international program to identify current and future trends in engineering practice. It then maps the practice areas of modern engineering in several ways that capture the underlying time-distance scales, intrinsic pedagogic characteristics and potential learning outcomes derived from such practice activities. This will provide a comprehensive and documented resource for curriculum and course development that helps align engineering practice and science in the pursuit of educating a new generation of engineers.
